Family Room Addition

The 1960s split-level home’s staircases and enclosed living spaces made it difficult for the homeowners’ aging parents to get around. By opening up the kitchen to the dining and family room and adding a handicap-friendly bed and bath facility to the first floor, the homeowners achieved their goal of creating a more accessible, inviting home environment.

Custom Craft filled the roles of both designer and builder for this kitchen renovation & rear addition. The kitchen remodel allows for better flow into both the dining and living areas creating a more conducive space for entertaining and family activities. The rear addition creates a first floor family room and an additional bed and bath facility for visiting guests. The unique design provides an open view from the kitchen into the family room that is highlighted by a custom, decorative archway.

“We couldn’t be happier with the outcome of our project with Custom Craft. They were instrumental in making this huge undertaking smooth and trouble-free.” T. & J. Lynch
